Monthly Archives: December 2008

In light of recent developments (iFart makes close to $10,000 per day), I think I can start a whole blog on completely useless, mindless, waste-of-bits applications that are “top apps” in the iTunes App Store (and they’re not even free!).

Here are some more:

What has happened to the world?

Macworld Expo

Macworld Expo

As you all most likely have heard, Apple will no longer be attending Macworld expos. And this last one in January will have Phill Schiller sub in for Jobs.

But the worst part is not that Apple is no longer attending Macworld: it was nice to have a set date to await for Apple surprises, but I guess now we’ll have to live with more spontaneous Apple keynotes from their own headquarters. I just hope they get big venues for big announcements: the room that they used for the latest Stevenote is okay for updates but certainly not for huge changes (something along the lines of the iPhone).

The worst part is also not that Macworld will most likely close down without Apple and Steve Jobs: people like me who watch it online won’t be affected.

And it’s not even that Schiller will be replacing Jobs this one time: I guess I can wait a little longer for a true Stevenote.

No, the worst part is this article.

But none of these reasons explain why Steve Jobs is not giving the final keynote himself. If any other thing, Steve Jobs retiring from active duty at Apple sooner than expected is the factor that has precipitated this cancellation.

That would certainly be the worst part.
